FBRV

And then it was done!

The race is run, medals handed out, food scoffed and celebrations had. There’s still some work to be done to ‘Finish’ the race for the committee but we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for supporting our event.

Every year we love having you come out and have fun at the First Half and this year was no different.

Between us we raised $50,000 for Variety – The Children’s Charity BC, and that brings the total to over $600,000!

A few wrap up notes.

Results are on line at Startline Timing as well as on our own site. You can print out your own Finishers’ Certificate from Startline and see some funky graphs on ours.

The Mizuno Photo Wall pictures are online on this site and on our Facebook Group.

The Finish Line pictures are in the process of going to Facebook and will be posted here shortly after.

Whilst out on the course over the next few days please pick up any litter you may see, especially gel packets. Unfortunately this year it seems that many were dropped well outside the aid station area and so missed when we cleaned up. We have been out to try and do our best but any you see please retrieve. Post a picture to our Twitter or Facebook pages and the best effort will win a prize.

We have had enquiries if people can pick up race packets after the event. Unfortunately no. We destroy any remaining bibs after the race for data privacy reasons and we allow a shirt exchange after the race for people to switch out shirts that are remaining.

We are looking at what shirts we have remaining and hope to offer some kind of exchange in the near future but what we have is limited.

You can see the Global news report on us below:

If you write an online review of the race and let us know, we will publish it (unless you are very mean) View them here.

The 2015 race is on Feb 15th and registration will open very early November. Our free race seminar will be on Wednesday October 29th at 7 pm. at the Roundhouse Community Centre.

Want to be part of the club that puts the event on? Pacific Road Runners run from False Creek Community Centre on Granville Island on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6 pm sharp. Come along and try us out. Tuesday is the best evening for newcomers to join us.

All that remains is to thank you again and ask that you please support our race partners. Their support means we can give you the race experience that we do.
