Trevor Hofbauer  CAN Canadian Marathon Champion. “I will be racing the First Half to kick off my marathon training block. The event takes place during a time when road races are non-existent in Canada, so I’m looking forward to putting in an honest effort and whatever comes out of that, I will be happy. This will be my second time competing in this race, previously placed second to Dylan Wykes in 2015. The support along the race course and the views around Stanley Park are what make the race most memorable for me.”  1:04:59
Kevin Coffey  CAN “Best Kept Secret to Canadian Marathoning”  1:06:00
Matt Noseworthy  CAN Varsity XC & Track Team, University of Victoria Grad 2018  1:06:00

Dylan Wykes  CAN Course Record holder and former Canadian Olympian. “The First Half is a perfectly timed race for me right now. It’s very cold here in Ottawa and preparing for the First Half has really provided the motivation to keep at it day to day… I’ve struck a good balance with family life, coaching life, and my own running. So it’ll be fun to get out there on the beautiful First Half course and see where I’m at. I’m excited to get back to Vancouver. I miss the community there and the First Half will be the perfect opportunity to reconnect with so many friends.”  1:07:00
Braeden Charlton  CAN Varsity Track & Field, Simon Fraser University Grad 2018  1:08:00
Robin Watson  CAN Defending First Half and BMO Vancouver Marathon Champion. “It is kinda like the official start to the Vancouver racing season and it is always a fun race. The organization is top notch and the whole community shows up to roll. It’s awesome. My training has been slow going, but I am excited to see what I can do on race day. This will be a good check in as I ramp things up with sights set on a fun racing year. I’ll certainly be there for the BMO Vancouver Marathon in May, and I’m looking forward to rolling a bit w/ Yuki. That dude is nails.”  1:08:00
