That’s a wrap on the race for 2016. Equipment has been packed returned or stored, results are up, photos have been put online, and post-race analysis is done. Thanks you to all the runners who choose our race, thank you to the City of Vancouver – Local Government and Vancouver Park Board for all of their support as well as all the other city services which help to make the event safe and secure. A big thank you to all of our partners who donate their time, money and products, especially our presenting partner Mizuno Running Canada. Thank you to the volunteers who braved bad weather and still managed to smile and cheer and without whom we could not put on the race. And finally, thank you to Pacific Road Runners and the Race Committee who organise and lead the volunteering. This race is 100% volunteer run from top to bottom and without the hundreds of volunteer hours donated from club members we would never have been able to raise the $700k for Variety – The Children’s Charity of BC over the last 20 years and another $32k for other local charities.

The race is a little earlier next year, Feb 5, 2017 so keep an eye out in September, when we will launch the date for registration in early November. One more thank you for everyone that supports this race and we look forward to seeing you all on the start line, water stations, and marshall points next year for the 28th First Half Half Marathon!
