Pacific Road Runners is hosting a free Fall Running Seminar at Roundhouse Community Centre on Wednesday October 25, 2017 at 7 pm. We welcome this year’s speakers:
- Evan Dunfee is an Olympian race walker who holds the Canadian record of 3:41:38 for 50K and famously finished 4th in the 50K race walk event in the 2016 Rio Olympics! Evan will talk about his journey and the great health benefits of race walking.
- Barb Morrison, PHD candidate from SportsCardiologyBC, will speak about the latest in sports cardiology research, especially as it pertains to her Masters Athlete Screening Study of 800 athletes. The study examines cardiovascular risk and the best screening tools for detecting cardiovascular disease. She will also speak on the profoundly beneficial impact of exercise and potential deleterious effects of excessive endurance exercise.
